About Our CSA

CSA members commit to our farm by paying for a share of produce before the season begins. This early payment allows us to purchase seeds and supplies before the season begins without taking on debt. In exchange for early payment, we provide members with abundant weekly shares at a great price.

Our CSA Options

At Foggy Hill Farm, we offer a range of CSA share sizes to meet your household’s needs. As a member you will use an online form to choose what goes into your share each week. You can further customize your share by adding extra items such as our own eggs and honey, local fruit and locally-raised pastured meats.

Frequently ASked Questions

If you have questions about our CSA that we haven’t answered here, please contact us. If you’d like to be notified when CSA signups open next season, please fill out this form.

  • CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. This is a model of farming where CSA members commit to the farm by paying for a share of produce before the season begins. This early payment allows us to purchase seeds and supplies in the spring without taking on debt. In exchange for early payment, we provide members with abundant weekly shares at a great price.

  • We are not Certified Organic, however we follow organic standards, and strive to go beyond what is required to be certified. We add compost, biochar, and OMRI-approved minerals to our soil. We control insects with barrier-cloth, predator insects and, if necessary, OMRI-approved pesticides. We purchase organic seeds as often as possible from North East-based seed houses and never use GMO-seeds.

  • Foggy Hill Farm CSA members share in the risks and the bounty of farming with us. We do our best to provide members with weekly bountiful harvests. On occasion, there may not be enough of a certain crop to offer to everyone. In this case, we offer it on a first-come, first-serve basis at the farm stand. It is possible that at some point there might be an extreme weather condition that will prevent us from harvesting anything for a period of time. We do our best to mitigate the risks of weather extremes through sustainable farming practices.

  • As a member you will use an online form to choose what goes into your share each week. You can further customize your share by adding extra items such as our own eggs and honey, local fruit and locally-raised pastured meats.

  • All shares are picked up here at the farm enabling members to see for themselves how the crops are growing.

  • Our CSA runs from late June through September. If the season allows, we will continue into October.

  • You are responsible for picking up your share every week, however, we know that things sometimes come up. If you are running late to pick up, please let us know so we can keep your produce fresh until you arrive. If you are unable to pick up your share, please make arrangements to have someone pick it up for you or contact us to make a special arrangement.

  • We participate in the Monadnock Farm Share Program, which provides limited-income Monadnock residents with a CSA share for half price! If you would like to apply for assistance through this program, please visit cheshireconservation.org/farmshare
